Our *Voices of Selma* series features interviews with people in our community, to share the perspectives and experiences that matter here.

One of those voices was **George Sallie**, whom we interviewed in February 2023\. George had lived in Central Alabama for more than ninety years. We talked about the realities of living here, the changes he had seen over a long life, and what he hoped for the future. He loved his community deeply.

George has since passed away. We are honored to have captured a piece of his story, and we remember him here.
